19^th April,2003

A workshop involving field level NGO personnel, student volunteers and DML team at the Indian Institute of Training & Development (IITD), Joka, Kolkata where a brief presentation was made by the DML members about the possibilities of using ICT resources and enhancement of capabilities. A draft and tentative action plan were mooted involving the field level NGOs.

29^th April,2003

An International seminar titled Evolving a road map for people’s empowerment with ICT was organized at IITD, Kolkata, chaired by Dr. Eun-Ju Kim, senior advisor, ITU, Bangkok and was attended by NGO workers, educationists, multimedia experts, students and prominent Corporate personalities. The seminar was punctuated with student’s and NGO’s presentation on digital contents on relevant social issues.

31^st May,2003

An onsite demonstration of digital contents was presented at Green Scout’s camp for students at Gobordanga,North 24pgs, West Bengal, organized by PRISM, a field based NGO and our partner for young children of age group of 5 years to 16 years. The DML team presented interesting digital presentation on Arsenic contamination and it’s health hazard together with an interactive quiz.
