Welcome Aboard

Internship Program for Overseas Volunteers

 

 

Time to time several volunteers and trainees from different part of the world had come to WBVHA for their Internship Project and exposure to the developmental and health promotional work in West Bengal and India.

Cost Involved

The cost of the programme will involve food, lodging and transport. The candidate will be required to pay cost of Rs. 300 (US$6.25) per day for food lodging and local transport Project visit cost of Rs. 2000 (US$42 approx) per month

Notable Points for Trainee

Work And Reporting

The participants will be required to do hard work. The work starts at 9 a.m. in the morning and will finish at 5 – 6 p.m. in the evening with small break for lunch. The participants will be required to maintain the diary for every day’s work and report to the guide/Coordinator and receive time-to-time additional information for enriching the learning process.

DO’S AND DON’TS

DO’s

  • Candidates will be required to send a request letter to WBVHA asking for their expectation from the Students’ International Exchange Programme
  • They will be required to obtain required visa
  • Candidates will be required to present his/her learning and observation at the special meeting of WBVHA where senior staff members and guest of honour will be present. The meeting will be informal.
  • Candidates will be required to have letter of recommendation from school, college, university any foundation or social organisation

DON’Ts

  • Candidates are not allowed to have smoking, alcohol and any other addiction during the course of exchange program.
  • Candidates going to any new place other than his/her place of work will be required to obtain written permission from the Coordinator.

COMPUTER SKILL

Candidates will be required to have requisite compute skill for communication and report making.

REFERENCE

Candidates would be accepted having reference/recommendation on request either from Universities, schools or leading health and development organisations, institutions, etc.

Students of colleges and universities, students of social and development work, medical students, research workers and health professionals
