NGOs
are taking an increasingly significant role in
providing health care and bringing about positive changes are often unable
to achieve the mark of excellency in terms of planning and management, it
has been proven beyond doubt that NGOs are indispensable to health
promotion because of the flexibility of their programs and the extent of
penetration. The government
has also realized the potential of NGOs to reach the grassroots level and
to implement the programs in an innovative way. This has thus helped
integration of government and NGO work.
