Health Advocacy and Research

 

 

Advocacy is made for building opinion leading to action. Health promotion in community level identifies inadequacy at the policy level. WBVHA trying to promote co-ordination between policy level and reality level, felt that there is a gap in between. In order to breach the gap WBVHA began advocacy activities in the arena of health promotion. The activities started with 

  • Reproductive and Child Health
  • Drug Prevention
  • Independent Commission of Health in India

 

Population

A two days’ workshop on population control was organized by WBVHA in collaboration with Commonwealth Parliament Association, Voluntary Health Association of India and UNICEF at West Bengal Legislative Assembly Hall to sentisize the assembly members on the problem, causes and prevention

Reproductive and Child Health 

A meeting involving the Members of Legislative Assembly was organised at Great Eastern Hotel on World Population Day in collaboration with Commonwealth Parliament Association and State Planning Board, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal in collaboration with population council & New Delhi to sensitize the MLAs on problem, causes and prevention.

Drug Prevention

A workshop on drug prevention was organised by WBVHA in collaboration with Commonwealth Parliament Association, National Institute of Social Defense, Ministry of Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal Legislative Assembly Hall to sensitize the assembly members on the problem, causes and preventio

Independent Commision of Health in India

WBVHA organised a planning meeting in collaboration with Voluntary Health Association of India and Commonwealth Parliament Association at West Bengal Legislative Assembly Hall.
