Reproductive Child Health

In 1996 Govt. of India honored WBVHA for being a pioneer organization in health promotion and support. It was awarded the membership of State SCOVA so that it could render training, monitoring services under the SCOVA scheme. WBVHA later was honored to be a NODAL Agency under Rolling Fund Scheme to support NGOs in Family Welfare Program.

Vision

To secure the Healthy Life for Women & Children by helping them to gain self esteem which will ensure empowerment to powerless & to increase voice, choice, knowledge and understanding about identity.

  • Gender Issue (Supported By Govt. of India and UNFPA) - in 4 districts of W Bengal

  • Preparation of Plan of Action for the development of women & Children in Purulia Zilla Parishad & UNICEF

  • Promotion of Indian System of Medicine & Homoepathy (Supported By Govt. of India)- in four districts of W Bengal

  • Medicinal Plantation - in 2 district of W Bengal

  • Research on people's participation in Development through Panchayats in W Bengal

  • Hotline telephone counselling Centres

  • STD/HIV/AIDS Intervention in Tea Gardens of Darjeeling
